Juneteenth Celebration
Juneteenth -1865 on June 19th the soldiers led General Gordon landed in Galveston Texas to share the great news of the ending of slavery. President Lincoln signed the proclamation two years prior to 1865. The emancipation proclamation was signed to give us the opportunity to celebrate June 19th as authors, entrepreneurs, doctors, lawyers, and much more than a solider.
Black people must understand our buying power and abilities to celebrate this special day in honor of our slave ancestors. I could only imagine our ancestors would only celebrate us and be in awe of who we are today.
