"No- poo", Cowash, Pre- Poo

If her award-winning locks aren’t a strong case for the “no ‘poo” campaign (yes that’s the actual name), I don’t know what is. I’m a in-sickness-and-in-health daily shampooer who’s skeptical about forgoing a day, but after hearing readers’ feedback, I did some research on different products that would keep my hair clean, on the days I don’t feel lathering up. For great shampoo alternatives, go to your kitchen, not your bathroom cupboard. Yes, really. There’s quite a few that you don’t even have to use water with and some you probably should, unless you want to smell like the inside of a McDonalds.

I  heard of cowash and prepoo, but I really can't identify with the no poo method.

Safe alternative would be the bentonite, vinegar, baking soda- but baby powder?

Try this
Mix with your conditioner.  A teacher at the local beauty school said Afro hair and Caucasian hair is the same, but it really is not so, hair is similar in that it is protein.  Afro hair does not produce as much oil normally. If a black person puts powder in our hair I just don't know what that is going to look like. Vinegar works well to help reduce oil and clean the hair.
Bentonite detox the hair and I would suggest both Afro and Caucasian hair type to type this method - here is a recipe.

Mix apple cider vinegar, your favorite oil, add aloe vera juice until the mixture reaches a yogurt consistency. I also add my favorite conditioner for a nice smell.   Try to mix out any hard clumps of clay.
